Some friends call me AMG
- I have the most fun when I'm working with people to build something from 0 to 1.
- I think creativity deserves a more expansive definition than it usually gets.
- I'm energized by bringing good people together—whether that's through building community, hosting dinner parties, or making introductions between good humans.
- I'm drawn to work that reduces cognitive load, provides leverage, and lets people focus on what actually matters.
- And I believe in being clear, following through on what you say you're going to do, and always seeing the best in people.
Scaling:
- Dalmatian Ops: Helping pre-seed and seed-stage founders get more bandwidth back to do product and sales via fractional operations support and strategic advisory.
- The Agora Initiative: Nonprofit that is closing the venture funding gender gap by helping female founders in the DC area raise their first round of venture capital.
Starting:
- The Upskilling Labs: Nonprofit helping people build real AI skills through community-driven, hands-on learning
- Levy: Helping navigate the space where emerging tech meets the public interest through rapid pilots (like the one that became The Upskilling Labs), and writing about what we learn along the way
Supporting:
- Dozens of startups (22 and counting) as a small-check angel investor, sometimes on my own, sometimes through K Street Capital or The Council
Thinking about:
- AI & the future of work, especially for knowledge works & new entrants to the workforce
- How to add a silicon/rubber-y protective layer to the bottom of handmade ceramic plates for my nephew
